KOMPAS.com - The signs will be opening offices in Jakarta Twitter is getting closer. Today, Friday (29/08/2014), President of the Global Twitter Adam Bain visited Jakarta and confirmed the Twitter offices in Indonesia through his personal Twitter account.
In the booms were dated August 29, 2014, at 10:11, Adam Bain post a tweet with Indonesian, "adambain Thank you for the welcome, Indonesia! I am in Jakarta today and Twitter will soon open an official office here."
Bain chirp is accompanied by a photo of himself with some officials of the Twitter background Welcome Monument at the Hotel Indonesia, Jakarta.
The large number of Twitter users in Indonesia is thought to be one of the driving factors Twitter is present in Jakarta.
Twitter plans office opening in Jakarta had also expressed Bain told The Wall Street Journal, Thursday (28/08/2014). According to Bain, Twitter office will be operational within three to six months.
The office will be used by the majority of the operations of business development and sales team Twitter.
"If you look at Indonesia, you will see the size of the audience and how they use Twitter, very enthusiastic," said Bain.
"In general, the office will have a lot of functions if you see the role of the people in it who have diverse expertise within the team," he added.
However, Bain did not specify exactly how the number of employees who will occupy the office in Jakarta.
Twitter's office in Jakarta became the first Twitter offices in Southeast Asia, outside of Singapore, which has started operations last year. The office handles Twitter regional sales activities.
While in the Asia Pacific countries, Twitter has offices in Seoul, Tokyo, and Sydney.
